Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 10 August 20261. About the Organiser
The organiser of the competitions promoted through the website Infinity Competitions (the “Site”) is INFINITY COMPETITIONS LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom at Companies House under number 17377235, with its registered office at Flat 2, 35 Collingham Place, London, SW5 0QF, United Kingdom.
If you need to contact us, you can send an email to contact@infinity-competitions.com.
2. The Competitions
These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to all competitions promoted on the Site.
Competitions offered by the Organiser may be run either as prize draws based on chance (“Free Draws”), which have both a paid entry method and a genuine free entry method, or, where this is stated on the competition page, as genuine competitions of skill, knowledge or judgement (“Skill Competitions”).
In a Free Draw the winner is determined by a random process, and every such Competition offers a free entry method under Section 4. A Competition will be described as a Skill Competition only where the Participant’s skill, knowledge or judgement plays a part in determining eligibility for the prize or the outcome of the Competition.
A Competition may include a qualifying question (the “Competition Question”). Where one is used, a correct answer is a condition of a valid entry, whether the entry is paid or free.
Prizes may be awarded, and entries may be obtained, in the following ways:
- Standard Competitions — the main prize is awarded by a random draw held after the competition closes, from all eligible entries;
- Instant Win Prizes — prizes that can be won at the moment of entering a Competition; immediately after entering, the participant sees whether their entry has won an instant prize;
- Free entry — every Free Draw can be entered without payment by the postal method described in Section 4.2, and certain Competitions additionally offer a free online form under Section 4.1. Free entries are subject to the same eligibility criteria and, where one is used, to the same Competition Question, and carry the same chance of winning per entry as paid entries.
All of these formats are referred to in these Terms as “Competitions”. Where the competition page sets out a Competition Question, a correct answer is required for the entry to be eligible for a prize. Entry normally requires payment of an entry fee, except where a free entry method described in Section 4 is used.
The significant conditions of each Competition — including the Closing Date, the description of the prize, any entry limits, whether a Competition Question applies and which free entry methods are available — are stated on the competition page and, where they are material to the decision to enter, in the relevant advertising.
The free entry method will be presented clearly and prominently before the point of payment, and will not be hidden in these Terms alone.
3. The entry process
Each Competition will open and close on the dates and times shown on the competition page (the “Opening Date” and the “Closing Date”). All times are calculated according to official United Kingdom time (UK time).
The closing time of each Competition is shown to you in your own local time zone, based on your device settings, so the deadline you see always reflects your local time.
The Closing Date may be changed only where unavoidable circumstances outside the Organiser’s reasonable control make the change necessary, or where the total number of tickets has not been sold and either keeping the original date would be unfair to Participants or the change does not materially disadvantage them.
In such circumstances the Closing Date may be extended once only, and for a period no longer than the original duration of the Competition. The reason for the extension, the new Closing Date and any relevant consequences will be published on the Site and communicated by email to Participants who have already entered.
Entries must be received before the Closing Date and the specified cut-off time. Late entries will not be accepted; where payment for a late entry has been taken but no entry was registered, the payment will be refunded in full.
Each Competition may have a maximum total number of entries, stated on the relevant competition page. Once that limit is reached, further entries are no longer available.
A maximum number of entries per Participant may also apply to a Competition. Where it does, that limit is stated on the relevant competition page, and entries above it may be rejected; where an entry is rejected on this basis, the entry fee paid for it will be refunded in full.
Total number of tickets and the Closing Date
Every Competition shows, on its competition page, the total number of tickets available for that Competition. That figure is visible before you enter and does not change once the Competition has opened.
The Competition will close on the published Closing Date whatever the number of tickets allocated, save for the single extension permitted exclusively in the exceptional circumstances described above.
Where an extension permitted by this Section takes place, the material conditions of entries already made, including the prize and the entry fee already paid, will not be changed to the Participant’s detriment.
If the Closing Date is lawfully changed under this Section, existing entries remain valid. This provision does not limit any statutory right of the Participant, including any right to a refund that may arise in the particular circumstances.
The Organiser will hold the draw and award the announced prize whatever the number of entries received, except where unavoidable circumstances outside its reasonable control make it impossible to run the Competition and require cancellation under Section 11.
Mandatory warning before payment
An incorrect answer to the Competition Question makes the entry ineligible to win a prize. The entry fee is not refunded solely because the answer given was incorrect.
This warning is displayed clearly and prominently before the Participant presses the button by which they assume the obligation to pay.
Paid entry — Standard Competitions
- Go to the Site and select the desired Competition;
- Submit your answer to the Competition Question;
- Choose the number of tickets you wish to purchase;
- Proceed to checkout;
- Log in to your existing account or create a new one if necessary;
- Accept these Terms, separately confirm that you ask for your entry to be processed immediately (see Section 11), and complete payment.
Paid entry — Instant Win Prizes
- Visit the relevant Instant Win Competition page;
- Select the number of tickets;
- Proceed to checkout;
- Log in or create an account;
- Accept these Terms, separately confirm that you ask for your entry to be processed immediately (see Section 11), and complete payment.
For Instant Win Prizes, prizes are allocated to numbered ticket positions before the Competition opens, by a random process that is documented, verifiable and subject to independent audit. Once you enter, the Site immediately shows whether one of your ticket numbers has won an instant prize.
Payment processing
All payments on the Site are processed exclusively through Cashflows, an FCA-authorised payment institution that acts as an independent controller of payment data. The Organiser does not directly collect or store bank card details. The total price of your entries, including any fees, is shown before you pay — there are no charges added at or after checkout. By using the Site, you agree to the applicable terms and policies of the payment processor.
Once an entry has been successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation by email. If a technical failure on our side prevents a paid entry from being registered, we will either register the entry (where the Competition is still open) or refund the payment in full.
By purchasing or submitting an entry (paid or free), you confirm that:
- you meet the eligibility requirements set out in Section 6;
- you are entering into a binding agreement with the Organiser;
- where a Competition Question applies, you understand that a correct answer is a condition of a valid entry, and that an entry with an incorrect answer is not eligible to claim the prize;
- you agree to comply with these Terms.
4. The free entry method
Every Free Draw that offers a paid entry method also offers a genuine free entry method. Such a Competition may be entered free of charge, with no purchase and no payment, by the postal method set out in Section 4.2. Certain Competitions additionally offer a free online entry form; where that is available it is shown on the relevant competition page. Free entries receive an equivalent ticket number and are included in the same prize draw, or the same pool of Instant Win positions, as paid entries, with identical chances of winning.
The free entry method is communicated clearly and prominently on the competition page, before the point of purchase, and where its existence is a significant condition for a particular advertisement it is referred to appropriately in that marketing material as well.
The system used to determine winners or to allocate prizes does not give any advantage or disadvantage to an entry according to whether it was obtained through the paid route or the free route.
4.1. Free online entry
Participants may enter Competitions for free, subject to the following conditions:
- holding an active account on the Site, with the email address verified via the confirmation link sent on registration;
- completing the free entry form available on the relevant competition page;
- one free online entry per Competition, per verified account, per individual — the account must have its email address verified, and duplicate or multiple attempts from the same user or account will be invalidated (further free entries are available by post, as described in Section 4.2);
- submitting a correct answer to the Competition Question, exactly as required for paid entries;
- free online entries must be made before the Closing Date and before all available tickets are allocated.
4.2. Free entry by post
Any person eligible under Section 6 may enter any of the Competitions for free by sending a letter by ordinary first or second class post to the address below (hand-delivered entries are not accepted):
Infinity Competitions — Free competition entry
Flat 2, 35 Collingham Place, London, SW5 0QF, United Kingdom
The letter must be legibly handwritten, on a single A4 sheet (or equivalent), and contain:
- the Participant’s full name, as it appears on their identity document;
- the date of birth (to confirm the minimum age of 18);
- the full postal address;
- a valid email address and a contact phone number;
- the exact name of the Competition being entered (the title shown on the Site);
- the answer to the Competition Question;
- the handwritten declaration: “I wish to enter this Competition for free and confirm that I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions.”, followed by the Participant’s handwritten signature.
Rules applicable to postal entries:
- One envelope = one single entry for a single Competition. More than one postal entry may be sent, but the total number of entries by a Participant — whether paid, free online, free by post, or a combination of these — may not exceed the maximum per Participant shown for that Competition.
- Each postal entry must be sent separately, in its own envelope, handwritten and individually signed. Multiple entries placed in the same envelope, photocopies, printed listings or mechanically generated entries may be invalidated.
- The envelope must be sent by first or second class post at the standard rate and must be received by the Organiser at least 48 hours before the Closing Date, so that there is reasonable time to validate and process the entry before the draw.
- The deadline applicable to postal entries is shown clearly on the competition page and is set so that Participants have a reasonable opportunity to make effective use of the free route.
- Postage costs (stamps, envelope, materials) are the Participant’s sole responsibility and are not reimbursed by the Organiser, regardless of the outcome of the Competition.
- The Organiser accepts no responsibility for envelopes that are lost, delayed, damaged or delivered to the wrong address by the postal services; proof of postage is not proof of receipt.
- Proof of postage is not proof of delivery or of a valid entry. The Organiser is not responsible for postal entries it does not actually receive before the deadline.
- For each valid postal entry, the Organiser will allocate a ticket number equivalent to that of paid tickets and will send an electronic confirmation to the email address indicated in the letter, within a reasonable time of receipt.
All information submitted as part of any free entry (online or postal) must match the Participant’s real identity. Incomplete, unclear entries or those using false identities will be rejected. Multiple accounts or entries from the same person exceeding the above limits will be disqualified.
5. Selection of the winner
The consequence of an incorrect answer is shown to you before a paid entry is completed, in accordance with Section 3. If your answer to the Competition Question is incorrect, your entry is not eligible to claim any prize, even if your ticket number is drawn.
The entry fee is not refunded solely because the Participant’s answer was incorrect, subject to statutory rights that cannot be excluded.
For Standard Competitions, all eligible entries are placed in a prize draw. A winner will be selected within 7 days of the Closing Date using a transparent random mechanism. Draws are broadcast live on our social media channels, and the full entry list (ticket numbers and entrant names, subject to Section 9) is published on the Site before the draw so that every Participant can verify the result.
Participants in Standard Competitions may have their first name, surname, ticket number, purchase date and order number displayed publicly on the Site or in the live broadcasts of the draws (see Section 9 for how to object).
For Instant Win Prizes, prizes are randomly assigned to numbered positions before the Competition opens, by a random process that is documented, verifiable and subject to independent audit. The Organiser keeps an audit record sufficient to demonstrate that prizes were distributed or made available fairly and at random. If the number allocated to a Participant matches a prize position, that Participant wins the corresponding prize. The result is displayed immediately after entry.
Free and paid Instant Win entries are processed through the same prize allocation mechanism, use the same pool of positions and carry the same probability of winning per entry. The mechanism that determines the prize does not differentiate according to the route by which the entry was obtained.
In every Competition, only entries submitting a correct answer to the Competition Question are valid and eligible to win. An entry with an incorrect answer still receives a ticket number and appears in the entry list, but it is excluded from the prize in accordance with Section 5.2 and, in the case of an Instant Win Prize, cannot claim the prize attached to its position.
5.1. Correct answer — condition of a valid entry
A ticket number is issued for every entry, paid or free, as soon as the entry is registered, and it appears in the public entry list for that Competition. The ticket number alone does not confer eligibility: only tickets whose entry carries a correct answer to the Competition Question can win a prize.
Answers are revealed in the public entry list once the draw has taken place, so that every Participant can see which tickets were valid and verify the result.
5.2. Repeat draw (redraw)
Because a ticket number is issued regardless of the answer given, the draw for a Standard Competition works as follows:
- a ticket number is drawn at random from all the tickets issued for the Competition;
- if the drawn ticket carries a correct answer to the Competition Question, its holder is the Winner;
- if the drawn ticket carries an incorrect answer, that ticket is disqualified and a new number is generated at random immediately. This is repeated as many times as necessary, until a ticket with a correct answer is drawn — that ticket is the winning ticket.
Every intermediate draw is shown in the live broadcast. The holder of a disqualified ticket is not contacted, and has no right to the prize or to a refund of the entry fee.
Any person selected to receive a prize is referred to in these Terms as a “Winner”. If you need assistance with an entry, please email contact@infinity-competitions.com.
6. Eligibility
The Competitions are open to individuals aged 18 years or over who have the legal capacity to enter and to claim a prize under the law applicable to them. The following absolute exclusions also apply:
- The Organiser — the directors, managers, partners, shareholders and employees of INFINITY COMPETITIONS LTD;
- any person directly or indirectly involved in organising, administering, promoting, selecting winners or delivering prizes for the Competitions (including collaborators, contractors, consultants and marketing agencies);
- relatives of the organisers — the spouse, life partner, parents, children, brothers, sisters, grandparents and grandchildren of any person mentioned above, as well as any person living in the same household as them, regardless of the family relationship;
- service providers, sponsors or commercial partners professionally associated with the administration of the Competitions and their close relatives, under the same conditions.
These exclusions apply to all Competitions, whether the entry is paid, free online or free by post. Any entry that breaches this rule will be cancelled without refund, and any prize will be reallocated to another eligible Participant.
Before entering, it is the Participant’s responsibility to check and satisfy themselves that their participation in the Competition is permitted by the law applicable in the jurisdiction where they are located or resident. Participation is not permitted from any jurisdiction where running or entering the Competition would be prohibited or restricted by law.
By entering, the Participant represents and warrants that they meet the conditions set out in this Section. Responsibility for entering contrary to the law applicable to the Participant rests solely with them, and the Organiser cannot be held liable in that respect.
The Organiser may carry out reasonable checks on a Participant’s age, identity, residence and eligibility, and may refuse an entry, disqualify the Participant or withhold a prize where those conditions are not met or cannot be verified.
The Organiser reserves the right to restrict or block access to Competitions from certain jurisdictions, at any time and without prior notice, where it reasonably considers this necessary in order to comply with applicable law.
Automatically generated entries (bots, scripts) or those submitted incompletely will not be accepted.
The Organiser may disqualify a Participant where there are reasonable and documentable grounds to consider that the Participant:
- knowingly provided false or misleading information;
- used bots, scripts, multiple accounts or multiple identities in order to circumvent entry limits;
- manipulated, or attempted to manipulate, the Site, the payment systems, the allocation of tickets, the draw or the Instant Win mechanism;
- committed or attempted fraud, an abusive chargeback or intentional conduct that materially affects the fairness of the Competition;
- seriously and intentionally breached a material condition of eligibility or participation communicated before entry.
Measures will be proportionate to the nature and seriousness of the breach. A refund will be refused only to the extent permitted by law and where the breach attributable to the Participant reasonably justifies that measure.
If we discover that a Participant was under 18 at the time of entry, all of that Participant’s entries will be cancelled and all entry fees paid will be refunded in full; no prize will be awarded or, if already awarded, must be returned.
Entry fees are not refundable where the Participant did not meet, at the time of entry, the eligibility criteria clearly communicated before entering, or where the Participant is disqualified for a material breach attributable to them, to the extent permitted by law.
If the Organiser subsequently changes the eligibility criteria and, solely as a result of that change, a Participant who was eligible at the time of entry becomes ineligible, the affected paid entries will be refunded in full, unless a mandatory rule of law requires a different outcome.
Fraudulent activity, hacking, modifying the Site, misuse of the system code or deceptive behaviour may lead to the cancellation of all entries, refusal of refunds and exclusion from future competitions.
7. Prizes
The prize details for each Competition are described on the competition page and are considered correct at the time the Competition opens. The Organiser may substitute a prize only where this is reasonably necessary, and only with a prize that is, so far as possible, reasonably equivalent in both nature and value, or with a prize of greater value that does not materially disadvantage the Winner.
The Organiser makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the description of each prize is accurate and complete in all material respects at the time of publication. Minor or non-essential variations may occur which do not materially affect the nature, value or usefulness of the prize. Any material change known before the prize is awarded will be communicated to the Winner.
A substitution will not be used to reduce the value or the essential nature of the prize because of an insufficient number of entries.
Unless a cash alternative is stated on the competition page, prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
Prizes will be awarded within 30 days of the Winner being confirmed, unless a different timescale is stated on the competition page before entry. Collection, delivery or transfer will be arranged with the Winner where applicable, following confirmation of eligibility, and any arrangements or requirements that apply will be communicated to the Winner at that time.
By way of example, a substitution may be necessary where the advertised prize is discontinued by the manufacturer or otherwise ceases to be available through no fault of the Organiser. The Winner will be notified of any substitution before the prize is awarded.
Prizes are personal to the Winner and may not be transferred or assigned to any other person. Once a prize has been accepted it cannot be returned or exchanged, save for the Winner’s statutory rights.
Cash alternative
Not every Competition offers a cash alternative. Where one is offered, the competition page says so and shows the exact cash amount before you enter.
Where a cash alternative is stated, the choice belongs to the Winner, not to the Organiser: on winning — whether through a draw, an Instant Win prize or the Lucky Wheel (Section 8) — the Winner may take either the prize as advertised or the cash alternative shown. We will ask which you prefer when we contact you, and the choice must be confirmed within 14 days; once confirmed, it is final. If we receive no answer within that time, the prize as advertised is awarded.
Cash alternatives are paid within 30 days of the Winner confirming their choice, on the terms set out under “Cash prizes” below. Where the competition page states no cash alternative, the prize cannot be exchanged for cash, although the Organiser may still offer one in exceptional circumstances at its discretion.
Vehicle-type prizes (cars, motorcycles)
Where the prize is a vehicle:
- a valid MOT will be provided where required by law;
- insurance is not included in the prize;
- road tax/vehicle excise duty is not included, unless otherwise specified;
- risk and responsibility for the vehicle pass to the Winner on collection or delivery;
- the Winner must hold a valid driving licence for the relevant category and be properly equipped to drive the vehicle safely;
- delivery arrangements are agreed with the Winner, taking account of any legal, registration and practical requirements that apply to the vehicle; any delivery costs that apply will be stated on the competition page before entry;
Holiday or experience prizes
Where the prize includes travel, holidays or experiences:
- details of the transport, accommodation and tickets included will be listed on the competition page;
- travel insurance and incidental expenses are not included, unless expressly specified;
- Winners are responsible for obtaining any travel documentation required for the prize, such as identification, passports, visas or vaccinations, where applicable;
- certain travel dates may be fixed and non-changeable;
- Winners must comply with the terms and conditions of the service providers (airlines, hotels, event organisers).
Cash prizes
Where the prize is a sum of money:
- cash prizes are paid to a verified bank account nominated by the Winner, subject to identity and fraud checks;
- supporting documents (identity document, bank statement) may be requested before the transfer;
- under current UK law, competition prizes are not treated as taxable income in the hands of the Winner; any tax that may nevertheless arise from a Winner’s own circumstances remains the Winner’s responsibility.
8. The Lucky Wheel
The Site offers a promotional “Lucky Wheel”. Registered account holders receive one free spin when they open an account and additional free spins as a loyalty reward for tickets purchased at their normal price (the number of tickets per spin is shown on the Lucky Wheel page). No payment is ever required to spin the wheel.
Lucky Wheel prizes are described on the Lucky Wheel page. Wheel outcomes are generated by the same logged, auditable random process described in Section 5. Prizes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and are non-transferable, unless otherwise stated. The eligibility rules in Section 6 apply to the Lucky Wheel in full.
If you win, a member of our team will contact you using your account details to arrange collection, delivery or transfer of the prize where applicable.
9. Winners and publicity
The Organiser’s decisions concerning the administration of a Competition are taken in accordance with these Terms and are final as regards the internal administration of the Competition, subject to the complaints procedure in Section 13 and to all of the Participant’s statutory rights.
Winners of Standard Competitions will generally be contacted within 7 days of the draw date, using the contact details provided. Winners of Instant Win Competitions will generally be contacted within 48 hours of the winning entry.
The Organiser will make reasonable efforts to contact the Winner using the contact details available and, where reasonable, will use more than one attempt and/or more than one channel of communication.
If, after such reasonable efforts, the Winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within the period communicated, the Organiser may select a reserve winner or reallocate the prize using the same fair and verifiable method used to select the original Winner.
The Organiser may extend the claim period where there are reasonable grounds to consider that the delay is not attributable to the Winner.
To demonstrate that a valid award took place, and in line with the UK Advertising Codes, the Organiser will publish on the Site the Winner’s surname and location details, together with the winning ticket number. By entering, you are informed of this publication. You may object to publication, or ask for the amount of information published to be reduced, at any time by emailing contact@infinity-competitions.com — in that case we will publish only the information strictly needed to show a valid award took place (for example, first name and initial), or none at all. Note: even where a Winner objects, we may still be required to provide the Winner’s details to the Advertising Standards Authority or other regulators to prove that the Competition was administered fairly.
Any use of a Winner’s image or participation in promotional activities beyond the publication described above is entirely voluntary and will only take place with the Winner’s prior consent.
The Organiser may withhold or cancel a prize if it reasonably believes that the Winner has breached these Terms or was ineligible for other reasons.
10. Claiming prizes
- Prizes must be claimed directly by the Winner, unless the Organiser agrees otherwise in writing;
- Participants are responsible for ensuring that their contact information remains accurate and up to date in their account;
- For cash or high-value prizes, additional identification documents (KYC) and anti-fraud checks may be requested;
- Failure to provide the requested documents within 14 days may result in the prize being forfeited, except where the delay is caused by circumstances outside the Winner’s reasonable control;
- The Organiser is not liable if a Winner cannot or chooses not to accept a prize.
11. Cancellation and refunds
To the extent that a statutory right of withdrawal applies to the contract between the Participant and the Organiser, the statutory withdrawal period is the one provided by applicable law, including the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If the Participant wishes the Organiser to begin providing the service before the end of any applicable withdrawal period, they must make a separate express request to that effect before completing the purchase.
If the Participant exercises a statutory right of withdrawal after having requested immediate performance, but before the service has been fully performed, the Participant may be required to pay only the amount proportionate to the services already supplied, to the extent permitted by law.
The Participant loses an applicable statutory right of withdrawal only once the service has been fully performed, provided that performance began at their express request and that the Participant acknowledged beforehand that the right of withdrawal would cease upon full performance.
The mere issue or registration of a ticket number is not declared by these Terms, in itself, to constitute full performance of the service.
Nothing in this Section limits any statutory right of withdrawal, refund or other remedy that cannot be excluded by contract.
Any cancellation or refund request will be dealt with in accordance with this Section and with the statutory rights applicable to the Participant.
If the Organiser cancels a Competition, all paid entry fees for that Competition will be refunded in full, automatically, to the original payment method, within 14 days. A Competition will only be cancelled where circumstances outside the Organiser’s reasonable control — such as force majeure, serious technical failure or a legal requirement — make it impossible to run. A Competition is never cancelled in order to avoid awarding an advertised prize.
Where a specific entry could not be included in a Competition for reasons attributable to the Organiser or its systems, the entry fee for that entry will be refunded in full.
Nothing in this Section affects your other statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Organiser is not liable for losses that are not a reasonably foreseeable consequence of a breach of contract or of the Organiser’s negligence, nor for losses caused solely by acts or circumstances outside its reasonable control.
The Organiser remains liable for loss caused by its negligence, by a breach of its contractual or statutory obligations, and for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
The Organiser is not liable for problems caused solely by the Participant’s device, internet connection or conduct, or by external events that the Organiser could not reasonably have prevented.
The fact that the Organiser uses third-party suppliers does not exclude the Organiser’s obligations towards the Participant where the contractual service is not properly provided for reasons for which the Organiser is responsible under the law.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of a Competition or our service, please contact us at contact@infinity-competitions.com with the word “Complaint” in the subject line, describing the issue and including your account email address and, where relevant, the Competition and ticket numbers concerned.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and give you a full response within 14 days. If we need longer (for example, where third parties are involved), we will tell you why and when to expect a response.
If you are not satisfied with our final response, you may refer the matter to Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk) for free consumer guidance, raise a complaint about our advertising with the Advertising Standards Authority (asa.org.uk), or bring a claim before the courts as described in Section 16. Complaints about how we handle your personal data may be made to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
14. Responsible play
Competitions are a form of entertainment, not a way to make money. We apply our own responsible play standards: every account holder must confirm on registration that they are aged 18 or over, we may require proof of age and identity before a prize is awarded, we will never encourage you to spend more than you can afford, and we provide tools to help you stay in control.
You can ask us at any time, by emailing contact@infinity-competitions.com, to permanently close your account (self-exclusion). Once your account is closed you will not be able to enter Competitions and will not receive marketing from us.
For warning signs to look out for and links to free, confidential support organisations, please see our Responsible Play page.
15. Privacy
Personal information provided during entry will be used only in accordance with applicable privacy laws (UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018) and with our Privacy Policy.
The publication of Winners’ details is described in Section 9. Winners may be required to provide additional identity documents before prizes can be transferred or awarded.
The publication of limited information about a Winner for the purpose of demonstrating that a valid award took place is governed separately by Section 9. The use of a Winner’s photograph, image, video recording, testimonial or other personal material in advertising, social media posts or other marketing material is a distinct purpose. Where required by applicable law, the Organiser will seek the Winner’s separate consent, or will rely on another valid legal basis described in the Privacy Policy.
A Winner’s refusal to take part in optional promotional activities does not affect their right to receive the prize they have validly won.
If a Participant requests the deletion of their data before the end of the Competition, they may be withdrawn from the Competition, since the Organiser will no longer be able to contact them in the event of a win.
16. General terms
- The Organiser may amend these Terms for the future. The most recent version will be published on the Site and will state its effective date.
- Unless the law requires otherwise, an entry already made and a Competition already under way continue to be governed by the version of the Terms in force at the time of the Participant’s entry.
- A later amendment will not retroactively reduce the prize, the chances of winning, refund rights, eligibility criteria or other material rights attaching to an entry already made.
- If a change to an existing Competition is required by law or by unavoidable circumstances outside the Organiser’s reasonable control, the change will be limited to what is reasonably necessary and affected Participants will be informed accordingly.
- Any breach of these Terms may result in disqualification from current or future Competitions.
- Competitions will take place, and the advertised prize will be awarded, whatever the number of entries received, subject only to the exceptional situations provided for in Sections 3 and 11.
- The Competitions are not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or any other third-party platform, and these accept no responsibility for the Competitions.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
- These Terms are published in several languages for convenience. In the event of any inconsistency between versions, the English version prevails.
- Please keep a copy of these Terms for your records.
